CCB Rotors Life
Have a 14 m6 gran coupe with ccbs car is daily wear indicators look decent I’ll upload pics soon, I had a question though in the event I have to switch out rotors can I go back to stock I think not due to some suspension parts being different?
Wondering if ccbs will last me to 80-100k miles ? |

I'm sure it depends how you drive the car. 80-100k I would assume if you do little to no hard braking at all.
I have them also. The pads seem to be endless and never fading. Rotors seem to be healthy also at 30k miles. |

Yeah, CCB Brakes should last the life of the car , I have 32k on my original pads and they still look new , but if you use them for heavy track use this is we’re they can wear prematurely,If you look up how it’s made on YouTube it will tell you all about them

I'm really having a love/hate relationship with my CCBs. Has anybody inquired about just having replacement iron rotors made and switch to corresponding non CCB pads? Meaning keep the rotor 'hats' and calipers, have custom iron rotors made, and swap out the pads. I can't imagine the calipers take propriety sized/shaped pads.
I know it's an option, but I really don't want to switch to the regular brake calipers. From what I have found, the regular brake rotors are 400x36mm, and the CCB rotors are 410x38mm. https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-2...6-f06-m6-pair/ https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-2...6-f06-m6-pair/ Racing Brake does make a 410x38 iron disc, but no idea if the bolt holes/pattern matches up. just note, the wear indicator is an approximation. CCB rotor materials "burn off" rather than wear down like steel brakes. (they also wear down, but not as much)
The true way to measure the rotor wear is with a carbotech tool or to weigh each rotor and compare it to the start of life number stamped on each rotor.
