Bimmer code video display issue

Hey everyone,
Hope all is well. I drive a 2013 M6 convertible that is tuned (BM3) and has catless downpipes and I've been messing around with bimmercode trying to get music videos displayed on my screen while driving but I cant seem to get any videos at all. I have already enabled the setting on bimmercode to allow while moving, and I also downloaded tons of music videos to a hard-drive but when i plug it in and select the hard drive, the music plays but there is no video nor picture? i have tried changing the resolution to many different things but nothing has worked so far? Has anyone been successful with the same year M6?
Any help is very much appreciated!
Thanks!

Do you have the CIC or the NBT iDrive? I don’t think the older CIC can play video. You can play CDs/DVDs, though. See the sections about video in the 2nd pic below that shows the difference between the iterations of iDrive…again, if you have CIC, your head unit doesn’t play video from a USB…and I don’t think it can be coded to do so either.

If you don’t know if you have CIC or NBT…you can quickly tell by looking at your iDrive screen. If text and screen selections are within a box with a red outline around it…that is the CIC (see example of CIC in pic below). If the text and screen selections are in a red banner…then that is the NBT (see example of NBT in pic below).

M6 Video

Hey thanks for the response.
It seems I have CIC so i guess it'll have to be through CD!

Helpp pleasee

So i ended up just buying some CDs and put some music videos on there and when i put it in, it says "Checking" for a little bit, and then says "format unreadable." I have tried both mp4 and avi, any suggestions or is this a lost cause?

If you have your navigation owner manual booklet (separate from the regular owners manual)…I believe it lists the formats the CD/DVD player can read. Gotta remember that the year is 2013…almost a decade ago…so the technology of that day would be prominent. Add to this scenario that audio/visual technology has advanced swiftly over the las 10-15 years.

Edit…yep it lists the “readable” CD/DVD formats. Use MP3 and give it another shot.
