Thanks again!
I am wondering if a throttle body plate type of install is possible as well? https://www.beefcakeracing.com/snow40071/ No one is offering such thing ready to use for our cars, so i guess it might be physically not viable due to the very tight space between charge cooloer<->throttle body<->intake manifold? The way i see it is insert such a plate between the charge cooler and the throttle body (red line) which will effectively shorten the legth of the silicon tube towards the intake manifold (blue). That would be the perfect solution - 100% reversible and somewhat stronger than drilling the plastic. |

I still think it can be done the issue is there is no enough space between intake, coupler and the throttle body to sandwich the spacer also it will disturb the distance between the charge cooler and the charge pipe. I even though of making a hole in the coupler and then sandwich meth adaptor but again not enough space. You can shorten the throttle outlet side to accommodate the spacer and the spacer will be after the throttle but that will compromise the throttle under boost and might pop out. If I am right I think you will need minimum ~12.7mm spacer thickness to be able to have 1/8th NPT in it. The only reason the meth spacer works on the newer M5 and M8 is because they replace the part number 2 with the spacer Last edited by M6Roar; 08-01-2022 at 03:25 AM.. |

Got it, i totally agree with your concerns.
I am already looking for second hand charge coolers and will give them a try. Will keep posted. Last question: As far as i understood you drilled a hole, made a thread, then installed and glued this type of adaptor: https://www.amazon.com/Fitting-Femal.../dp/B07FZ9MYGJ right? I am wondering is the nozzle long enough to actually appear above the surface inside the charge cooler? I am wondering if this type of thing would work equally good or even might better: https://www.snowperformance.eu/en/wa...ozzle-silicone My understanding is that the above adapter depends on tension, so you have to tighten it well to avoid leak, which might break the plastic. That is why they recommend it for aluminum and silicone. Meanwhile if you want to sell your aftermarket charge coolers, and they have bungs for meth nozzles, do let me know i might buy them. glued the rim to the body of the charge coolers and then used these Jets https://www.aquamist-direct.com/806-...or-4mm-hose-r/ It took me alot of testing lol I even bought one charge for the testing and now you will know why I said use drill stopper look. Can you see how flushed its with the charge cooler body & and the hole I made while drilling I don't think I am going to sell for now but you will be my first call if I will.
