M6 rear badge placement
M6 owners (F series) could some please do me a favour and measure the horizontal and vertical distance from the edge of the bootlid to the start of the M6 badge?

i recall if you buy the badge from BMW, they include exact measurement instructions. Try emailing your dealer or BMW directly.

Here's a quick measurement off of mine. Measurements are in inches.

I bought a preowned 2014 coupe competition package, came with no badges from the factory. I was thinking of getting the IND matte black ones but idk.. what you guys think? leave it debaged since its CP orrrr put it on?

Personally I'm not a fan of the matte black badges. Unless you have matte paint, gloss is better IMHO Last edited by Evil Derboy; 02-28-2018 at 02:26 AM.. |

As per others above. Competition pack models across the entire M range still have the model designation on the rear. There is no factory option to have the model designation deleted on the M6 and even USA "Competition Edition" specials (not to be confused with "competition pack") still had an M6 badge on the back of the cars when they left the factory. A previous owner of your car has removed the badge from the rear, hence my querying what it being a competiton pack car has to do with your decision, but hey, you're obviously a well-informed guy with a nice attitude to strangers on the internet, so what do I know...
