Cool More BMW Blues Compared - San Marino Blue vs Interlagos Blue

BIMMERPOST NEWS
More BMW Blues Compared - San Marino Blue vs Interlagos Blue
43
COMMENTS

See how the new BMW M color San Marino Blue (on the M6 convertible) compares to the Interlagos Blue of the M3 coupe. San Marino Blue is currently an M-only color for the F13 M6 coupe and F12 M6 convertible. Interlagos Blue has been an M-only color for the E90/E92 M3.

The two colors are close, both being a mix of blue and purple, but it's clear that the San Marion Blue is the brighter of the two colors. Thanks to John for the photos.

they look so similar that the difference comes down to the availability on the model.

what would be funny is to make someone choose between these two on the same car

Great pics.

I really think BMW ought to offer both San Marino and Monte Carlo on both the M5 and M6. They are both excellent, M Exclusive colors and different enough so as not to be redundant.

Perhaps the F8x M3 and M4 will get both since they have both Le Mans and Interlagos today.

I've always thought Interlagos was too purple.
San Marino is the fix!

It's a good thing someone told me these are different colors because I wouldn't have bet anyone that they are.

Fortunately, either one is a nice looking color.

Personally, I think someone in the BMW Design Department is playing a joke on us customers. They are just waiting to see if someone will vehemently argue that these colors are different, all the while, the designers know they are exactly the same. LOL

San Marino is great. I'd love to see a comparison between it, Estoril Blue II, and Monte Carlo Blue.

Having seen San Marino in person, it too is purple -- and the fact that it's just a more saturated (and somewhat brighter hue) of Interlagos actually makes the purple stand out even more. That's one of the major reasons I went for Le Mans myself.

Those are really beautiful paint jobs. As it happens where I live black is the most popular color for BMW's followed by white. The various silver/grey finishes are around third and blue is very rare.

Absolutely agree. I saw a San Marino M6 vert in person and it's so much deeper and richer than other colors

San Marino Blue is turning to be my fave ///M color. It is so vibrant and full of life, makes LMB and MCB look dull. Def worth paying to get it on the M5 IMO, too bad it is not a standard color like it is on the M6.

Has the sparkle of a jolly rancher candy
