I was disappointed that we didn’t get to see if the MB updates would’ve closed some of the gap or not with RB. Qualifying pace looked good but obviously the sprint didn’t as Max checked out. Would’ve liked to see it over the entire race. We’ll hopefully find out in Hungary.

Honestly think the race was going to be a repeat of the sprint race after that corner. Lewis wasn't complaining over radio in sprint race for nothing, asking for more power. He couldn't catch Max. I don't think Max was driving 10/10th's either in the sprint race. It was do or die to get around Max in the first couple laps.

Ok sounds good. But the Go/No Go decision can't be taken a week or so before the actual event, It's getting real tight I'm afraid - I got lots of experience with planning and execution of large scale public infrastructure projects.

Planning, permits, funding, security, insurance, vendors, police, crowd control, etc, etc requires much time and planning....you can't turn a super-tanker in the ocean in a short amount of time....

Interesting post . But your story won't work in the middle of a dog fight for the title of the World Championship .
In this season some things are changed , for the first time MAX drives also in a fast car , and it Isn't a Mercedes .
In this season HAM was beaten by MAX , like he was never beaten before !
MAX got already 2 DNF . And who's still the leader in the WDC ?

MAX lifted it already in half of the sprint race ...
HAM knew it and felt it there , because MAX ran like a bulllet !

MAX's HONDA Spec-2 PU !

At first I heard positive signs from Japan , today I heard bad signs .
A F1 PU has 6 big parts . One of them is in bad shape ...

I would refuse to get the responsibility to say the "YES" word regarding the HONDA PU.

One things for sure my friend is that Max (as per norm) needs back up badly.
According to analyst van der Garde the decision has already been made who will be in second seat at Merc and he doubts it's Russell because of Wolfs pandering to Dramilton.
If Checo continues as a Kimi then I can see unhappy Leclerc or even Russell (if not restricted by merc agreement) coming to RB.

Seb is one amazing man and no wonder he's Britain's favoured driver unofficially according to a poll. I remember he was at a petrol station in NW London a few years back doing a Shell promotion telling customers at the pay till that there's no charge for their fuel after they filled up.

How can he ask for more power? the ecu mode is set for a race non adjustable from the pits.
