Running R888Rs on lowering springs

Anyone have any experience running 315/30/20 R888Rs on stock 343Ms lowered on H&R springs? Bought the springs but now I’m beginning to think that it may rub. Thanks

Most likely it will rub, on lowering springs and stock wheels I think 305/30 is the limit.

My winter tires are marked as 295/30 but they are 325/30 (measured) no rubbing on OEM rims but not lowered.

That is because your wheels are stretching them after being mounted. A 315 would have a taller and wider shoulder. It will rub after being lowered on the OEM wheels. If the car is not lowered you will not rub 99% of the time.

Just wanted to update that I ended up lowering the car and putting those 315/30/20 R888Rs on (343M). No rubbing issues whatsoever, looks very aggressive.

Nice! I completely forgot that I have been running 10mm spacers on the rear and that's why i figured they would rub on a lowered M6. Have you tried going over speed bumps and driveways? No rubbing at all?

Yeah my own driveway is a decent incline and no problems. Speed bumps are fine as well. Despite New England roads I surprisingly haven't had any issues, and the car looks much more aggressive. Should note that they make lots of noise, much louder than my previous PSS/Ecstas/PS4S.

Yeah but they are worth the grip they give you. I tried like 4 different tires until i landed on the Nt01's, they're the same as the R888R and it's a world of difference. I was worried about the rain but as long as you take it easy and turn on traction control in the rain you're fine.

The R888Rs are the best tire I’ve tried so far, I don’t drive my M6 much so the rain issue never really bothered me but I can imagine it might be a little scary at times. You running 305s on yours?

Not sure how modded your car is or if you DD it but I’d suggest going up to Pilot Sport 4S first before R888Rs. Although they (r888r) offer insanely good traction they wear out much faster than normal tires and have lots of road noise as we said earlier. I think the PS4S is a great middle ground giving you better traction without the drawbacks of the R888Rs.

I'm running the Nitto NT-01 315/30/20 for the last 2 years and i daily drive my M6 GC, stage 2. The NT01's are made in the same factory as the R888R, basically the same tire for two different brands. I went with Nitto because it was the only brand that had tires for the front size, Toyo didn't have anything at the time in a 265/35/20

Thanks ,I don't DD the car, but I am going catless downpipes and stage 2 tune in the very near future ,Im currently running Michelin PSS now in the rear and my traction isnt that great ,I can only imagine adding another 200 hp ,I was thinking getting the PS4S I have a new set of those in the front,Whats widest size I can go with without it looking like it doesnt belong on the car, thanks
