Wheel Spacers - Which size with new wider tires?

Hi All,

I wanted to achieve the same fitment as this setup or the ideal setup for my car:
https://www.bmwblog.com/2015/03/21/a...rior-upgrades/

My car is a 2016 Coupe RWD.

Going to put on 10mm wider tires, so tires should stick out 5mm more than stock:
255/35R20 Front
285/30R20 Rear

1. Should I do staggered as in the post with larger in the front than the rear? Will staggered spacers affect the handling? Why wouldn't I just do the same size front and rear?

2. Should I do the same 15mm front/12mm rear or different because of my
new tire size?

3. Which spacer brand do you recommend? Have read on the forums Macht Schnell are the way to go? How about Turner Motorsports or ECS Tuning? Have read that H&R sometimes have vibrations?

Thank you

There are wheel & tire size calculators that will reveal how much poke you'd have. You will need to compare the wheel's specs (width/diameter/offset) and the tire's profiles for each set-up (original vs new).

Here's a site that gives you that info...compare each axle (old vs new) to determine how much more or less poke you will get: www.willtheyfit.com

If you are going to add spacers to the new set-up...then you must SUBTRACT the width of the spacers from the wheel's offset. For instance, if the wheel has a 35mm offset, and you're going to mount 15mm spacers...then the wheel's offset with the spacer would be 20mm (not 50mm as many mistakenly do).

Great advice by Qsilver7 I have a pair of Burger Motorsports 10mm & 12mm spacers with extended lug nuts that I will be selling as soon as I pull them off my car if you'd like.

Got it... I think I'm just going to take my car to EAS and have them install the spacers as they measure them. They said they will install for free if I purchase from them so I'm going to take them up on the offer.
