My first car was a 40 hp 1 litre polo from 2000. There was not any power left in it. I got my first bmw car after it, f30 320i lci. Its a world of difference. Except for the mileage, 1 litre per 10km on both of them average.

My first car was a '49 Chevy rolling chassis. I never did finish it. My first registered, legal, running car was a '67 Dodge Dart. Not long after that, my first BMW was a 1986 535i which I wish I still had honestly, that was a great (redacted) car. After a long string of VWs and two Porsches I bought a 2009 335i for my second BMW which I still have.

My first BMW is sitting in my garage right now. My first car was a '76 Nova slant 6. Simple, reliable, maroon (inside and out), and with a horizontal 55 mph speedometer without a stop for the needle on the left, so it turns out you can go MPG fast on the freeways on Montana – just keep that needle going clockwise.

More stories to come about the 1er as I start accumulating trips and miles, I'm sure. So far, it's been mostly surprised laughs: the sounds it makes when blip ping the throttle on a downshift, the sheer stick when accelerating up a nicely curved and cambered long on on-ramp; the joy of finally being back in a RWD car...

1971 BMW 2002 alpine white with blue interior. 51k miles, popped out of 2nd gear, shot center bearing, trashed Guibo, fubar carb. Purchased at age 15 1/2 for $1500, and my dad and I fixed everything before I turned 16. I drove it for 10 years and >100,000 miles before being pile driven by a Buick.

Bought the M235i First, loved it but it was my first automatic car and the paddles just weren't cutting it for me. 9 Months later I put an order in on a 2021 M2C. Regret level = 0.

Picking up my first x5 xdrive on Thursday! so excited

I have been looking for a long time, drove the Lexus rx 350 twice, the 2022 Acura MDX, the Audi and the Range Rover. I kept coming back to fun drive with the X5 and finally found one!

E36 M3 (1999 sedan)
Loved that car. 5-speed manual. Last series that doors closed like a bank vault. Can't believe 240 hp could be that much fun.

An E30 320i was my first BMW car, after this one... I've owned a 320d E46 and a Z4 G29.

Great cars... but none of them like the E30 6L engine...

My first BMW was my first car, and the one I'm still driving. Bought it like 7 years ago or something at this point. I was 20 years old, been living on my own since 18, parents never taught me/allowed me to get a license. I had saved up enough money, found the car I wanted, and when my roommate picked me up from work one day we drove straight to go pick it up. I'm never selling it.

I am from Poland.
My first BMW e61 lci 525d 197 km imported from Germany. Great car. After selling it, I bought a BMW 525i 218 km in Switzerland in 2006. The super car only burned me 11.5 l / 100 km. Now I have a BMW F11 520d. I am very happy with this car. Greetings to everyone and in the near future I will post pictures of my BMW

Stock for stock the E36, even though it was a vert, was way more tossable then the E46. The suspension on the post 03’s was aweful!

Love seeing all these E36s on here, they never quite get the respect they deserve. It's really great seeing how much you guys like/miss them.

I've toyed with the idea of selling mine to get the M2C, but while it might still happen, I'm going to try everything in my power to not make that mistake.
