UHD Reverse Camera Retrofit

I have a reverse camera on my 2015 650iX GC. Recently had the car serviced and the dealership leant me a new X3. First thing I noticed is the reverse camera on the X3 is way better than on my 650iX; sub regular definition to ultra high definition (UHD). Does anyone know if the reverse camera on 650iX can be replaced with an UHD camera?

Indeed it would be great if that was possible! I guess as it has to fit under the BMW emblem the question about the size arises. Would it physically fit the exact same way as the one mounted on our car models(F.X.X) and would the connector (and connection) be the same?

I couldn't find any reference to the fact that the new camera in X3 G01 models is UHD or better in any ways than our current ones. It could be better but it's not necessarily UHD. If you also have a reference or reviews from somewhere confirming that please share.

I could imagine that the cam will fit as it save costs but the software

I guess you need also an UHD screen.

FO6WINS - You are correct, I can't confirm the camera/screen in the X3 is UHD. However, I do know it is way better then what we have in our 6 series cars; certainly looked like UHD to me.
