Dinan Stage 1

Just wanted to give my opinion on this mod. Last week at my local dealer I had the Dinan stage 1 installed. My dealer offered a 10 percent discount so went for it.

I previously had the BMS stage 1 installed so now speaking from experience these are 2 totally different tunes. Hands down the dinan is much more linear power, not jerky, no lights on dash and overall drivability is better. Very happy and no need to remove if I visit dealer.

My .02.

.....and yes I know Ecu tunes are the way to go but I really didn't want to have any issues.

Dinan is always a notable name brand to rock with I would expect you to have no issues.

much more linear power?

Is that more power, or just smoother?

I only have the Dinan S3 with no experience with other tunes, but I went for it for the same reasons and have been happy with it. Some days I feel like I should have gone for something cheaper or more aggressive, but on whole I am very happy with it.

I cannot compare but I have the Bootmod3 (Stage 2) from PTF on my F32 and thus far I'm very pleased with it in all respects. I have had no issues, no misfires nothing of that sort. Ista shows no errors whatsover and I have done quite some hard pulls and also tested V-MAX removal. Next spring I will most probably install it on my F06 too.

To be on the save side I think there are not so many goog tuner on the market. In the EU it’s HAMANN, AC-Schnitzer, G-Power, PP-Performance, Manhart. Those are the top notch. In the US I would say it’s Dinan to go with. They are also known here in the EU.
So congrats

Havy mentioned the most important and reliable ones in my opinion too. Another great one worth mentioning is NOELLE MOTORS. Previously they were present in Germany. Now they can be found in the US too. The man behind them, Karl-Otto Noelle (Hallo Alpina) is probably known to many and speaks for the company....
