When will F06 end production??

Hi, just wondered if any BMW insiders know when the end production date will be for the F06. I've had my 640i GC for two years now and am so happy with it that I would like to order a new one just before the end of production to get me through another 4-5 years.... I have asked at local BMW dealers here in Australia but no one seems to know (or care!). I'm sure that 8 Series GC will be awesome but likely to be well out of my price range...

sure its a 7 year life cycle with BMW, so would guess 2019/2020

Thanks, understand normal 7 year life cycle but BMW doesn't always follow it strictly, X5 is a current example. Was hoping for a more precise date. Some rumours they will end F06 production later this year which would be a 6 year cycle.

I just went out and purchased the 2018 650 GC, no changes to the 2019 model but I hear allocations are hard to come by, if you're looking to buy before the cut off, I recommend heading to the dealer right away and getting yourself on the list!

It all depends on what time in the cycle you purchase it, if there is a batch of 6's being produced, you can go ahead and switch the spec while its still in the factory, that will reduce the lead time

Your dealer will tell you if you're lucky or have to wait

Put it this way: currently there is a BMW 6 series GC on sale at my local dealer with delivery miliage for £32,000 ($42,000 US) less than list price.

I'd say that's a sign of a car on the way out isn't it?

The production schedule here:

https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1519112

says that the F06 6 Series and M6 ended production last month while the F06 Alpina B6 ends this month.

Can anyone confirm?

Previously, inside information had said 2/19, but if MY2019 ends now, before calendar year 2019 even starts, obviously there can be no 2020 model (regulations prohibit releasing a model year two calendar years prior - i.e. can't sell a MY2020 F06 in 10/2018) that would see production continue into 2019.

Confirmed, the production of the 6 series is over. The last ones are rolling out now. You can only buy already produced ones. Only the 6 GT will be produced until 2019.

US production ended at the end of September. RoW production ended back in July
