Your external temp sensor operation?

Can any of you confirm how quickly your external temp moves after you start your car? The dealer is telling me my system shows no diagnostic errors, but that does not mean it works correctly.

If it is say 95 F outside, my car may say 80 when I start it. Then it will take at least 15 minutes to climb just 10 degrees, and just as long to move the last 5.
My X3 climbs 10 degrees in 2 minutes or less.

So does your 6 series move more like the 2 minute example, or 15? Thanks.
