I drive by a range/shop 2x per day (to and fro work) and decided to take a class and see whats up. I have been exposed to gun most of my life: some rifles, shotguns and pistols but never owned one.

So here I am...after the class: 3hours: 2 safety and 1 shooting, I love it!

Anyone else into it? My first gun is a Glock 19, 9mm. It's very cliche to buy a Glock but I fired a lot of guns at the class and it just "felt" great...I had to have it.

Any one else into it?
Shoot it. Lube it. Wipe it. Clean it. Lock it. Repeat!
But, but…. They all have hammers?

Why would we lose the thread? Those are 100% legal, at least outside the commie states.

Also legal: manufacturing your own firearms and silencers.

Remember, this is a private forum, where the management determines what is appropriate. The first amendment doesn't apply here, never mind the second amendment.....

Yes, I understand that.

I bet that the owners of this forum restrict certain topics, like this one, because of legal ramifications. In short, they are afraid of getting sued. They may also be anti-gun, but they won't admit that even if true because that would upset or offend some percentage of their users.

Or maybe the owners/moderators have no clue about gun laws so they just restrict gun topics in general out of an abundance of caution/fear.

For the record: Guns are legal. Building your own gun is legal. Silencers are legal. Building your own silencer is legal. Even machine guns are legal. Unfortunately, building your own is illegal.

So, short of asking permission from the mods, how do we determine what we are allowed to discuss here?

Judging by the drunk posts and rum threads, the 21st Amendment seems to be permitted.....

I have shot it out there just havent brought it back yet.

I have the same MK18 from Daniel, with EoTech XPS3 and Surefire suppressor. Also had to get a Bootleg adjustable BCG, so much gas in my face with those guns. The Bootleg made a huge difference.

Really easy to buy a M1 if you are willing to wait or pay the inflated price. In addition to the above, there are thousands of M1s for sale at the usual places.

First I've heard of an adjustable BCG. Most people use an adjustable gas block.

I don't disagree, however this forum isn't solely based and subscribed to in the USA. I'm a shooting enthusiast in Canada, silencers are prohibited, handguns with barrels shorter than 4.5" are prohibited, machine guns are prohibited. Some of the folks on this forum live in countries that prohibit all firearms. Not all the mods are in the US, so I suspect they may not share your view entirely.

I think the comment about the thread getting shut down is from fear of it becoming political in nature and that is something that's easy to do with this particular topic.

Why would it matter what the laws are in other countries? We are talking about guns not buying and selling guns.

Those other countries get cars that we don't get in the US. Should we not talk about those specific models?

Your point about politics is spot on.

My point was that you said that machine guns, 3D guns and silencers are legal. They are, but not even in every state and certainly not everywhere else on the planet. Hell, lots of Americans hate guns, so it's not exactly a nonpolitical thing in the USA never mind the rest of the world. My comment was that threads get cancelled for political debating which often escalates. Thats it, that's all. Peace man.

I just stocked up on some buckshot, some #4, some .45 just in case I have to hunt for food... or defend what I have.

That and a case of target load just for clays, though in a pinch I suppose it would also be a good deterrent
