17 640i oil leak help
Indy said it’s not oil filter housing, valve cover or oil pan… drivers side dripping down side of engine. Thanks

Pretty early for you to face this - i have a 2015 lci with 110k miles and can see the slightest weeping from back left of valve cover (when looking at the engine from front of car).
Do you drive in sport mode all the time? |

To me the answer is clear. He mentioned in his diagnosis that the oil filter cap had a severe leak. Oil got on the belt and slung oil everywhere.
I guess that falls under my last post, someone did a sloppy oil change at one point. |

.... And used an aftermarket filter. That part pisses me off for you bro. Filters aren't that expensive. At least you caught it and didn't make things worst. |
