Coding out adaptive function of the LED headlights?

Is there anyone who knows how to code out adaptive function of the LED headlights?

As in, I can still put them on auto mode, but they no longer turn with the steering.
Dealer has been unable to do it, most "coding specialists" don't seem to know how, except one who said it'll be multiple parameters and asks 50 EUR an hour to "research" into it.

This is an interesting request...to turn off the adaptive headlight feature. I'd be interested as to why you want to cancel it? What would someone not like about the headlights turning as you go into a corner to illuminate what car's without adaptive headlights can not see? (curious just to know why...not to beat you down for wanting to turn it off).

BTW, isn't this feature deactivated when you turn the dial to the regular ON position vs the AUTO on position?

EDIT: just checked the owners manual and yes...adaptive light control only operates when the switch is in position 3...when position 6 is selected...the adaptive feature where the lamps turn in conjunction with the steering wheel along with specific speed criteria...is deactivated:

Yea I usually just turn my lights on manually... the only reason I am opposed because on the 13 model with dual projectors.. that adaptive light is halogen and with the xenon it really doesn’t help, it’s not bright enough.. I think on newer models it LED or Xenon also... but the halogen bulb really isn’t bright enough

Had this with my 530d, I replaced the std halogen with ultra white bulbs, didn't make much lighting difference but didn't look awful anymore

With headlights on auto mode, I receive an error as soon as I turn the steering to the left.
As result, the left headlight goes out as soon as it turns left with the steering.
The headlights function without problem if turned on manually.

After hours of diagnosis at the dealer, they recommended to replace the whole headlight for 2000 EUR + VAT.

If I can deactivate the adaptive function, I could at least have my headlights on auto mode again.

Ah...thanks for the explanation...I see what you're trying to accomplish, now.

I am not sure how much 2000 Euro is here but, I would just turn on my lights manually, its the little things like that cause small annoyances..
2000 Euro = $2236 US please tell me that is a mistake.

Well, it is a mistake.
2000 EUR PLUS 21% VAT. And for the part only No fitting/coding included.
I don't mind paying this amount for something serious, but being able to use auto mode again..

I turn them on manually now, but it doesn't feel quite right in a 6er.
Quite frustrating I'd say.

At those prices...I'd probably keep an eye on breaker yards and see if a left headlight shows up. That could be a possibly less expensive solution.

I've seen a thread about where other people are having the same issue on the 6. You never know if the used headlight you purchase have the same issue tho.

same price in the US. one of my headlights threw a code when the car was in the shop...had to go to the dealer and they ended up replacing the entire thing and it was that expensive (luckily I was covered under warranty)
