Gt-r or m6

Not many forums on this but I’m seriously comparing the 2 , I have not driven either one . I’ve owned bmws all of my life currently own a 2011 535i m sport and a 2009 535i sport as well. My real questions are how is the awd in the gt-r vs the m6 rwd? Are maintenance costs similar ? I plan to daily drive the car around 15k per year all work done my my independent shop . Any help appreciated thanks .

Not sure I wouldn’t want to daily a GT-R... Unless your commute is a race track. But M6 is an easy one to use on daily basis, and if you go for the sexiest of them, GC, you get practicality of a luxury sedan as a bonus...

As above GT-R is a more sport focused car, where as the M6 gives the best of both worlds comfort & speed

get the M6, purchase any parts from FCPeuro.com and your maintenance costs dwindle. once you buy your parts from FCP they lifetime warranty anything they sell. I've done all maintenance myself, ie plugs, coils, oil changes, and a bunch of filters.
I purchased my M6 based on this maintenance/ cost of ownership and its so far one of the best cars I have ever had.

I really hope the gtr isn’t as rough on the road as I’ve been hearing . As far as m6 goes I’m not sure if I would go GC or coupe . I love the way the coupe looks but looks like resale value will be better with the GC. Any major engine problems or suspension problems I should be worried about ? My 2011 535i has had nothing but oil changes lol

the Gtr just need FBO and tune or if you want more power just get AMS Alpha packages then it will fly

GC is pure sex on wheels as what it comes to looks... And having a usable rear seat is probably not going to hurt, particularly when you don’t need to compromise on performance or looks...

I was debating the same when I just recently purchased my M6. Cls63s vs M6 gc and the gtr.

Gtr inteiror was so horrible for my liking. I also had a m4 so I was tired of the 2 door.

M6 gc styling and interior is so gorgeous I went with this. Plus I'm single and girls LOVE this car. All those "omg I love your car" DM's I get on ig that lead to dates is the reason why I choose the M6 😁.

If you don't need rear seats I would get a 911. The only reason I got the GC over the 911 was because my wife said we needed rear seats...

I asked many girls about this and a close friend of mine who has a gtr. Girls think it's ugly. I love it. My friend says he gets a lot of love from guys not so much from girls.

Go with the CLS63 AMG

The exhaust sound from factory is incredible

GTR if you want to attract the JDM boy racing Paul Walker wannabes (RIP Paul Walker though)

M6 if you want a pussy magnet that attracts gold diggers that you can "tap and go"

Pick your poison.

Not really it has quite a terrible sound from factory. A M6 with a Meistercraft catback would sound 1000x better and costs way less.

Have you actually driven both cars? If yes, you should be able to validate most of the comments above and on GT-R forums based on your experience, bar maybe the Paul Walker wannabe/pussy magnet ones... 😂

I had a 2012 gtr , then i switched to 2016 m6 , both are great cars , the pre lci gtr is very rough for daily drive while the m6 is very comfort and useable .
By the way the M6 Coupe is much more sexy than the GC .😁

No , the drive is not so bad , but you wil get more comfort and soft drive in the m6 .
The old generation gtr untill 2016 model had also a rough tranny , its not as soft as the m6 , its also very noisy tranny due to the fact that its placed in the rear section of the car .
The only thing i miss in the gtr was the lunch control from 0-100 km/h .
