F12 Radar Detector Help/Hardwire

Has anyone hardwired their convertible and mounted a radar, looking at getting this done in the next week and want to know how the process went?

Thank you.

Coincidentally enough, I just asked a similar question myself here with regard to hard-wiring the unit to the power supply for the mirror. I'm expecting an Escort 360c removable unit with the wireless shifters. I went this route so I can take the head unit from car to car to have at least some measure of protection.

Send me a PM next week sometime to remind me and I'll re-post here with some photos.

I have that exact wire, easy as it gets to use. Flawless. With a blendmount my Escort MAX 360 looks stock to the vehicle.

So where did you actually tap into in the mirror. I had it all apart and couldn't find a switched power pin. My volt meter pins were too big to even test it so I kept trying here and there but nothing.

Any help would be appreciated or even pics, thanks!

Just use the Waze navigation app. Way better than radar especially on highway travel. I quit using my radar 3 years ago.
