Comfort Access Door Handle

I've got an F13 m6 and my comfort access is freaking out on my driver's door only ; passenger is fine. It's randomly unlocking and inoperable. Made sure my remote batteries were good first. Ran codes and determined it's the handle and not the antenna. Question is , do these things come painted from the factory? I only see one part number for my application. 51-21-7-231-931. It indicates painted, but I'd assume each color got its own part number. Maybe I'm wrong. Does it need a paint shop visit too or plug and play color matched already.

They do come painted. I know because my mechanic ordered the wrong color and i had to wait an extra week. They are coded to your vin if i remember correctly.

Thanks. I texted my SA and he confirmed they come painted and are VIN coded.

If you also have Soft Close doors makes sure they work before they order parts. Even though they are different sensors both mine were out. The first door latch they replaced didn't fix both.

Interesting. I will take note. Soft close is seemingly still working so I hope it's all good. Got the part ordered today. It was a little over $300 shipped. On backorder though. I guess silverstone 2 handles were in low supply. I can't imagine if you had individual paint. I'd assume that's a custom order every time.
