2013 BMW 650i Gran Coupe M package
I'm currently running the following specs: Rohana RF2 Matt black Front 20x9 ET35 with 255/35/20 Michelin pilot super sports Rear 20x11 ET40 with 295/30/20 Michelin pilot super sports I'm really happy with the above setup, the stock runflats and wheels were super heavy compare to Rohana RF2s. I weighted both wheels as attached. Stock Bmw 373 style weight as follow: Front 20x8.5 ET33 with 245/35/20 Dunlop SP sports maxx GT -Rim+tire weight 33+31=64LB Rear 20x9 ET44 with 275/30/20 Dunlop SP sports maxx GT -Rim+tire weight 33+34=67LB Rohana RF2 Matt black Front 20x9 ET35 with 255/35/20 Michelin pilot super sports -Flat face, no concave -Rim+tire weight 24+25=49LB Rear 20x11 ET40 with 295/30/20 Michelin pilot super sports -Medium concave, looks alot better and deeper in person. Pictures don't show much of the concave. -Rim+tire weight 25+29=54LB **NO RUBBING ISSUES AT ALL** Sorry for blurry pictures, they were taken with my cell phone in dark but many of you will get your answers your looking for. The photos are a little off from the above mentioned weights due to used tires and weight installed on rims after balancing. Last edited by 650GC; 09-30-2018 at 01:34 PM.. |

Looking good! I love the way 295's tucked under the rear fenders look.
You're right stock 373's are freaking heavy, the M5 wheels I swapped out with wider tires still weigh considerably less than factory wheels and tires.

For the M5 wheels (M343) did you have to modify anything? The main difference is really on REAR where: M373: 9x20 - 275/30R20 ET 44 M343 10x20 - 295/30R20 ET 34 Thus 10J instead of 9 and ET 34 over the original ET 44. |

Indeed you have it looking very decent and better than stock!
After reviewing on a wheel-size.com and comparing OEM with the M343 with 295 tires it reads as follows: "Tire will stick out 20 mm farther. Rim will stick out 23 mm farther. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider narrower tires or higher offset" Though the above hint is thrown also by comparing it with 285 tire size, it still confirms that this is the logical choice (to go down from 295) as the offset is what it is. Hey, with your 255/35/20 at front and 285 30 20 in rear. Don't they have more than 1% of rolling diameter? any issues with transfer case? I know the OEM wheels had about 0.96% of rolling diameter difference which is still less than 1% but not close to 0 which they should have been for transfer case to last longer.

Nope, everything bolted right up - I did step down one tire size from the stock M5 set up being that the non-M cars have narrower front fenders and the rear axle must be not as wide by a few millimeters on the M's. 255/35 in front and 285/30 in the rear. But the fronts are freaking close to the brake caliper assembly, but they clear so no worries. On the 5 series cars built after the 2012 model year BMW changed the front brake calipers and a spacer was needed to clear. I was hoping that wasn't the issue on the 6's being that my car is 2015. I actually forgot about that when I installed them, it wasn't until I had all the wheel lugs torqued I remembered that. I quickly jacked up the front and spun the wheels and they turned freely. Whew!

Thanks.
Mine is an Xdrive don't know if that makes a decisive difference..... I am still hesitating now I also like the M668 wheels from the new G-30 as well. I am looking for some wheels where no mod is necessary but want to stay original BMW. |

If the tire poke out you could go with a slight negative camber on the back. Than the tire will fit under the fender during compression without modding it.

I don't mean to seem harsh, but I didn't expect a solution like that.

I've still got to get my front splitter, rear diffuser, trunk spoiler, and M6 exhaust installed, they're all sitting in the garage. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
