Nearside rear footwell soaked!

This is a weird one!

On a couple of occasions, I have been surprised to see my left/nearside rear footwell carpet fully soaked!
  • No leaks in the sunroof or roof,
  • the window has been shut,
  • the left rear door card and seat itself dry
  • The left front door/window/seat/carpet and the left B pillar post all dry

So just the left rear footwell??? All other footwells dry

What is going on??!!

What about your sunroof drains? That is the most likely source. Where are they on that car and where does the water go if one is plugged?

check the vapor barriers in the door, particularly at the bottom of the barrier. Make sure it is properly attached. The card and the barrier might look dry even if there is a leak there.

It’s the yellow gromit in the bulk head, had to do mine a few weeks ago. Must of removed 20 liters of water. Common fault
