640d fumes in the cabin

Anyone else had exhaust fumes in the cabin? Thought it was related to the cars in front but had a clear section of road last night and fumes persisted. Got it the car and couldn't smell anything left door open a few minutes got back in and drove again for a few miles and smell of diesel fumes back again.

I noticed this very intermittently last month, but out of down to following a truck on a slip road.

I've had the EGR done on recall so can't see it being that failing, unless the new part is also bobbins..

Hmm my first thought was EGR but since you have had that done, I would go back and ask them to check.

Never had fumes, touch wood

Granted I haven't done that many miles but I've not noticed this and I have been stuck in motorway traffic behind trucks.

Quick update, popping the bonnet - the only visible issue was the washer filler cap being open. I popped off the plastic engine cover and everything is clean in the engine bay, no leaks no obvious signs of any issues around the exhaust manifold (from what I can see). Since putting the washer cap back on everything is fine. No idea why the washer fluid smelt like exhaust fumes in the car. But it's saved a trip to the dealer.
