640d fumes in the cabin
Anyone else had exhaust fumes in the cabin? Thought it was related to the cars in front but had a clear section of road last night and fumes persisted. Got it the car and couldn't smell anything left door open a few minutes got back in and drove again for a few miles and smell of diesel fumes back again.
I noticed this very intermittently last month, but out of down to following a truck on a slip road. I've had the EGR done on recall so can't see it being that failing, unless the new part is also bobbins.. |

Quick update, popping the bonnet - the only visible issue was the washer filler cap being open. I popped off the plastic engine cover and everything is clean in the engine bay, no leaks no obvious signs of any issues around the exhaust manifold (from what I can see). Since putting the washer cap back on everything is fine. No idea why the washer fluid smelt like exhaust fumes in the car. But it's saved a trip to the dealer.
