Radar Detector Install
Has anyone used one of these power cords for a radar detector? I think it'd be an easier and cleaner install than running across the headliner, down the A-pillar and to the fuse location. Just wondering if there are any risks to 'overloading' the circuit to the front-facing camera or mirror.

I use one that I made. Runs from the mirror to the detector. You do not have to go through the headliner.

I bought the vampire tap or whatever the premade one is called and a blendmount to hold the V1 under the mirror. When I had my car in for some Dinan goodness the guy just wired it for me. Snipped the telephone cord and spliced it into the mirror feed I think. Check to make sure its not throwing codes, but there's a bunch of circuits to steal power from right by the mirror. Just avoid the SOS button.

The wires at the mirror where you can tie in are:
green with brown stripe is the positive (switched) and the brown with black stripe is the ground.
