Coming Back, Value question 2016/2017
Looking to comeback after a year away from my 2013 M6 (have an M4).
Locally there are two candidates: 2016 Black/Sakhir, 29k miles, full merino, exec, surround cameras 2017 Black/Black, exec, comp pack 16 has 10 months of warranty, 17 has 24 months 16 is 48k, 17 is 61.5k Loved my 13 till extended warranty ended, M4 is not as nice. Don't want to spend 13.5k more unless really worth it.

did you have a bunch of problems with your 13. your 13 was almost exactly like my exact car. mine is a 13 san marino blue full silverstone 2 interior convertible with everything but CCBs and night vision. i love mine. driven 50% of the year, no winter. mine has 66k miles and all it asks of me is for oil changes and coils and plugs.
If it were me i would take the 16. sounds like it has more value in it |

Yes my 13 had oil consumption issues. Near the end spent lots of time at dealer, who tried to get BMW to replace engine, instead all seals were replaced. I could not get second extended warranty so I traded in on my current M4.

ahh i see, seems to be a big hit or miss on that for these cars sadly. I have only had great experiences with mine. i rarely have to add oil between my oil changes. I don't remember, but was your M6 tuned. i am just having a hard time recalling. i just remember it looked incredible!
But back to your original post. i would go with the 16, being its an LCI car with all the new bits including the NBT evo head unit, and a minor software update will get you all your bells and whistles activated to your liking, if you want. Considering your prior experience though i think i would lean more heavily to the 17 with the extended warranty. If it were me I would still go with the 16. just seems to be the "better" car in my opinion, not just based on its price point, but its color combo and full leather option. I never valued the comp pack either, since as soon as the car gets flashed to a stage 1 or 2 tune, the power output doesn't matter. yes there are other equipment differences for a comp pack, but i prefer the non comp to the comp equipment, such as roll bar and programming of the steering rack and dampers. Also i feel as though that is more of a valued European option, not necessarily in the US since you are free to modify to your hearts content! do you have the postings to look at? Also how come you dont like the M4 as much? I was set on getting one prior to my M6 but never got one since i got the opportunity to get in my opinion the best color combo available in the 6 series for a great price, less than that of local M4s to me with nothing that i wanted |

Pretty simple, put the phone in a slot which resides in the center arm rest. Works well, and yesterday charged my AirPod Pro's with them too. Small perk, I hate wires.

so its not the true wireless pad, but the snap in one? i thought it was like one of the charging pads, but i do understand that that is nice for charging with no wires.
