Coupe. The GC is a good-looking 4-door sedan, but it's still a 4-door sedan. It has the same front and rear end, and the side lines are close, so the only way it looks better is if you think the rear doors themselves add to the appearance, or if you like the less sleek roof line better.

Love my GC but to me the coupe still looks better. I have to admit I get many compliments with people telling me my GC, being longer than the coupe, makes it look lower and sleeker (I know that technically the GC is slightly taller).

4 doors, though I must be in the minority here. When the 6 came out, I never even noticed. When I saw a GC, I went above my reasonable spending limit and bought one

Long sleek cars low to the ground just get me all hot and bothered

I’m a older guy now, and in my younger days, 4 doors are for old people,, but as I have learned the younger crowd likes the 4 doors, the young kids love the M3.. I had a M4 just loved it,, but wanted more of a luxury car..
It’s 2 Doors for me!
How could you not love the looks of the couple..

As enthusiasts, the answer to that question is simple, the better looking one is always whichever one we have

You guys that bought the GC put practicality over looks. The GC is not a bad looking car but the 2 door coupe is the best looking full size car that BMW makes. In fact I always thought that it was the best looking grand touring car made period and that's when I thought I could never afford to own one. I would never say that about the GC.

Beauty, in the eye of this beholder...goes to the GC. There's just something about that extra few inches in length that the rear doors add and the longer wheelbase that takes the F06 to a slightly different visual appeal vs the still stunning /F12/F12.

Examples: both are non-M versions in Sapphire Black

Niiiiice...

O M G .... stunningly beautiful

It's kinda like which version of a Chicago style hot dog do you want...the regular size or the (extended) foot long? I'll take the foot long...its a little bit more of a good thing.

Funny enough I am exactly the "you guys" in your post. I have 2 kids in car seats so I bought the 4 door. Prior to that I had a 550i, BUT prior to that I had a C6 Vette, Nissan 300ZX...and various other 2 door sports cars. HOWEVER, as I mentioned in my previous post, I get many compliments from non-6 owners stating they prefer my GC over the coupe. Bottom line is that looks are subjective and although you are entitled to your opinion, it is exactly that...an opinion. There are a lot of folks out there who prefer the looks of the GC.

Love the GC. The rear doors beautifully fill in the long rear end. When I first saw the coupe when it came out, I was not WOWed. When I initially saw the GC, it was the most beautiful car that BMW has ever made IMO. Still to this day it gets a double take from me. I do not even need 4 doors, but would not have considered the 6 coupe.

Gorgeous wheels on it

What's the name of the frame that encompasses the doors/windows? Yours looks gloss, I've only ever seen it in matte or chrome

GC, but then I also like the coupe in general, but there is also the rare cab.

The only thing that I can never look past on the coupe or cab is the fuel filler placement it just drives me insane, it looks just awkward in that position. Something the 8 has repeated it needs to be further back like on the GC!

This sums up my feelings as well. Also I feel like the coupe's rear quarter to the trunk is sort of "unfinished". Basically, it looks like the coupe was an afterthought as the lines of the GC was the primary design. The angles starting from the front tells you there's more car to follow, but on the coupe, it abruptly ends.

When the M6 GC was unveiled, my jaw dropped to the ground. It is a gorgeous design. It has tremendous road presence. It turns heads.

Let me put it this way...when I owned my M3, the only people who would notice it are car enthusiasts and fanbois. You'll get a nod..."that's a M3, that's a cool car". But after getting my GC, I get turns and snaps of the neck from pretty much everyone in the parking lot and street (old ladies, kids). It's just that '"in your face".

The F06 design is going down in BMW history as one of the most beautiful designs ever. And that's is why today (and likely forever), the GC body will always hold better resale value over the comparable coupe and vert.
