Rear center console air vents

Hey guys, I've been scouring the internet for the part number that belongs to these vents but came up empty. Is this something that can be replaced or do we need to switch out the whole rear console?

Assuming we're talking the Gran Coupe here, the vents alone cannot be replaced. This is what gets replaced:

That is correct.

The part number is 64229248820 and it usually hovers around $150. You're looking at a 15-20 minute job to swap out the parts, maybe 30 minutes if being extra careful.

Are you using any of the BMW online part database sites FIRST…prior to “scouring” the internet? If not…you may be able to save some time.

Use either www.realoem.com or www.bimmercat.com first. You can input the last 7 digits of your VIN (so that the diagrams are specific to your model and build date range)…then click on the diagram that applies. You can then scroll down the part number list to find the correct part number you need based on how your BMW is optioned. There can be different 11 digit part numbers for the rear fresh air grilles depending on if you have 4 zone climate control or rear heated seats etc.

Once you have the correct BMW 11 digit part number…you can then simply type BMW xx xx x xxx xxx (where x=the actual part nbrs) into a google/internet search box…or call your local BMW dealership’s part department to inquire if they stock it, or need to order it and how much the item costs. You may also be able to get them to price match or come closer to the price found online which may be close in price (local price+local taxes) vs (online price + S&H).
