Sigh. Thanks to the number of upsets in the early games on Sunday, I only scored 9/14 for Week 9.

On the bright side, I put down 45 points for the MNF score tie-breaker, and the Cardinals 27 vs Cowboys 17 game totaled 44 points.....

Just got word that the Bengals linebacker, Logan Wilson is heading to the Dallas Cowboys on a trade. I bet the Bengals will get some shitty pick or pennies for him.

What a weird season with the Bears leading the NFC north and the Broncos leading the AFC west. Make it make sense.

Detroit got screwed on that late defensive pass interference call that let the Eagles kneel it out to end the game. Who knows if the outcome of the game would have been different without that penalty with how Goff was playing.

How long should I be patient on this JJ McCarthy experiment? He just looks so bad out there and wants to throw a 90 mph fast ball on every pass. I would suffer as a fan for a couple seasons if I knew he is going to be really good after more reps.

Josh Allen came into the league using his arm strength to offset lack of experience/skill, which was one of the reasons why he wasn't a #1 draft pick. It took him a few years to settle down, and learn to throw short passes that his receivers could actually catch without fracturing their hands. That being said, Josh is supposedly very coachable, and there's no guarantee that other QB's can overcome that bad habit.....

Well, you'd think JJ would watch the film from the last two games and clearly see how his fast ball isn't working and would adjust the approach.

Josh Allen is a different breed with the arm strength plus his ability to run through defenses. He does seem like a pretty cool guy too. I will never forget his rookie season when the Bills were playing the Vikes. He destroyed us and even jumped over a really tall linebacker. He is a freak of nature.

In race car driving and other sports, I refer to it as testosterone poisoning when someone over-drives a car or uses raw strength when finesse is called for.

Many moons ago when my employer sponsored an employee softball team in the city's league, we played on fields with no fence in the outfield. There was no point in hitting the ball to the next zip code, because the defense could set the outfielders 600 feet deep and make your hit a fly-out.

When I took batting practice before our games, I swung for the imaginary fence all the time just like everyone else. Come game time, the other team would set their outfielders accordingly...leaving me 200 feet of empty field between the infielders and outfielders to drop a blooper. Finesse doesn't look as impressive as a 600 foot bomb, but I had the best on-base percentage on our team because I didn't get testosterone poisoning every time I was at the plate.....

Pretty shocked that the Bears beat the Vikes yesterday. But Bears record is based on beating nobody but bad teams previously. On the other hand, they would have lost most of those games in years past. Not sure if Ben Johnson is the savior but cetainly better than anyone they've had before.
Now lots of talk about LaFluer on a hot seat based on how GB is underachieving. Everyone assumes the DC Hafley will be a head coach next year but I don't see it. Not aggressive enough and not enough adjustments. IDK how anyone can bet actual $$$ on NFL games. Every week its crazy.

The reason why they play 17 games per season and not just hand out the Superbowl rings in September is that any team can win on any given Sunday.

That being said, I'm playing along for fun with a pick 'em football pool every week. I'm averaging between 50-67% every week, which is not much better than a coin toss in the grand scheme of things. I took the Vikings over the Bears, which seems to be the kiss of death for Skol Nation whenever I pick them to win. I also took the Lions over the Eagles, and that one also didn't pan out.....

My new granddaughter hasn’t won a single MNF square so far. Maybe she’s saving up for SB $500/

It really is wide open this year, the dirty birds, lions , bills chiefs and ravens are all beatable. Keep an eye on the Rams although they didn’t look great against the hawks. I don’t believe in Sam Darnold in big games but a I hope he proves me wrong he’s a good dude.

The playoffs will be interesting in both divisions for sure. Home field and seeding will be critical.

I think Denver and New England are more legit than people are giving them credit for in the AFC. I'm rooting for Buffalo to finally win one, but I'm not sure they have a complete enough team to do it.

On the NFC side, it will probably come down to whether the Eagles get the 1 seed and can host the title game or if they have to travel out west. They already beat every other NFC contender (except Seattle - if you're considering them), are 5 - 1 against current playoff teams and they should have beaten Denver. To be 8 - 2 with the brutal schedule they had is incredibly impressive, even if most of the wins were ugly.

How much fun did Packers fans have yesterday? Im jealous of other fans enjoying their home teams play. I dont know where to start with my Vikes. Negative 1 yard of offense in the 2nd half. They could have had better stats not taking the field after half time.

Im rooting for the Rams to take the NFC this year and the Patriots in the AFC.

Im on a roll with my fantasy team this year with 5 wins in a row and will be number 6 tonight unless McCaffrey goes crazy. Either way I'm playoff bound and I have a shot at the championship.

Last 2 games were profitable. Nephew won 3 quarters/$660 on the middle game. My granddaughter’s NIL won me 2 quarters/$1200 on the last game. $180 buy in for all 3

Boys defense has improved a shocking amount. Always had a good offense. The Chefs are sinking slowly out of the playoffs. Had to happen sometime....
