This is close, but not really...
The GranCoupe is a gorgeous vehicle through and through. Rationale: 1. Interior has more synergy. 2. No fastback look. 3. The side profile and how the paneling flows. 4. Looks sleeker due to #2. |

That creamy interior is just so damn inviting! That rear is an invitation for all sorts of naughtiness with your lady friend. It just looks so soft and voluptuous... Sorry... I'll stop. |

From the front the a7 looks awesome, very muscular. From the back it looks like a hunchback to me, almost like it has back problems. Anybody else see what I'm seeing here? The gran coupe is perfectly proportioned. I actually think it looks better as a four-door than a coupe oddly enough.

I voted for A7. I saw the A7 in real life and it looks beautiful.
Gran Coupe looks real good too. I want to see it in real life.

Car design is subjective, heck it's my job and have to deal with this stuff every day.
Just like women we all have differen tastes on what appeals to us. I own both Audi and BMW and like both for certain reasons and certain elements of design. However I still think audi's gauge cluster trumps bmw's, as I think bmw's cluster looks cheap I like what audi has done with theirs, theirs depth and i like the screen they have in the center. the BMW's is to flat but that's just my opinion. Driving with the night vision is fun. Also I like the front of the a7 one of audi's best front ends. I like the side of the BMW but feel at least the 7 has its own rear personality, the 6 looks to similar to the rest of the range in the rear as the new 3 has the rear that looks to close to the 5. To say either car is ugly is harsh as each is a work of art, of both design and engineering. What a lucky time we live in to be able to enjoy such masters in engineering as I look at the cars around me that we're built just a decade ago and what a difference. quality of build and materials are amazing, and BMW is finally stepping up their game in their interior build quality and material but Audi still has the upper hand in that arena. We just recentley did a tear down and benchmarking of the new BMW 7 series and Audi A8 and the quality of the A8 parts where better engineered in the details but not by much. Sorry felt like talking ........ Signing off. |

The view of the 6er from directly behind makes it a winner for me vs the Audi and Merc. It looks so sporty and classy. The interior is also hands down better than both IMO.

For all of your ripping the A7 just based on these photos, you really need to see one in person. In photos they don't look that exciting..In real life its a different story.

Now that I am reminded of how bad the rear of the Audi is I want to know designer' name that did it and, criticize him like everyone did to Bangle. I'm not saying I like the Bangle butt, but that chopped off tail that the A7 has is far worse IMO.

The Audi is just not the same class.
Looks like a A 4-door A5 that did not take enough Viagra. Dull interior too.

BMW introduced the 4-dor coupé long before Audi.
The CS Concept was shown at exhibitions world widw during 2007. A beauty that stood model for the present generation of BMWs.

Yep. GC is more harmonic and has better flow in the lines.
Off topic, but have you decided going for the F20 or F30 yet?
