There was a 2nd part to the storm and it arrived last night and continues -- though it is winding down -- as I type.

iPhone weather app reports 11.6 inches of snow in the last 24 hours with another inch or so expected before the storm passes by.

[Update] Regarding that 11.6 inches of snow fall. After shoveling off the entrance and driveway I didn't see 11 inches of snow. I checked other sources and the consensus is about 4 inches.

We dodged the bullet. What initially was forecast as up to 20” changed to 4” then 2” of snow followed by freezing rain up to 1”. What we got was about 1” of snow over several hours, not accumulating on our driveway, and just dusting the grass. Then it changed to sleet with accumulation only on our deck and dock. Then rain, but temps had risen to 33 and have continued to rise. So no adverse impacts at all.

Our coop had a handful of outages with total impact under 100 customers. So there was some ice nearby.

Forecast today is for rain, some heavy and maybe some thunderstorms. So any weakened trees will lose branches or come down, but temps will rise to around 40.

I’m glad it turned out this way for us, especially knowing how others were severely impacted.

Maybe 6" on the hi-tech snow gauge out back. Still snowing, though.

Dodged the worst of it... so far. Maybe an inch of sleet but thankfully no freezing rain to knock out power. Dog is not a fan!

It started snowing at 0900 sharp this morning and an hour and 30 I just had a plow go by already. The chaos has ensued! 6 degrees out so this will be nice and fluffy and they did not pretreat to make the roads a slush covered nightmare like they normally do.

Similar. Probably an inch of sleet. Still snowing/sleeting/freezing rain, but temps are climbing. I won’t say it’s a Nothing Burger, but someone ordered a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger and told them to hold the bacon and cheese.

The wind was out of the north last night while it was snowing, so the north side of the driveway has about 7" and the south side has over a foot. Got half of it done before my fingers started to freeze. Round 2 later on.

Well, over on the opposite corner of the state, NE Ohio looks like 4-6" in my neck of the woods so far this morning with another 5-8" predicted.

Was waiting for more snow to accumulate before going out to shovel, and my neighbour decided to shovel half my driveway. The nerve of some people.

Sitting at about 1-1/2" to 2" of new snow and coming down quite heavy.

Driveway and cars were clean at 0800 it's 1300 now. Snow is so fine the camera doesn't pick it up

Two Hours later we have 6 inches already and snowing harder. Want to watch the game but I need to consider clearing the driveway.

1800 and still snowing

Much of the shoveling and sweeping I did earlier was wasted. The wind is blowing it back in and it's still snowing. I'm beginning to sympathize with Abe. Except it's the damn wind that gets to me.

Waiting to see official numbers, but accuweather's estimate including today's snowfall is 12-18inches. It's all powdery snow, light and fluffy.

We're under a level 3 snow emergency, without a good excuse, you get a ticket and a court date. I knew by the way the car looked this morning, we'd be in top 5 snowfalls for our area.

Our snow started at 6:30 AM, and has been falling at a rate of at least 1 inch per hour. The accumulation as of 3:30 PM is left as an exercise for the reader. Oh, it's currently 5.7 Fscking degrees outside, and hasn't been above 8 F since midnight.....

Got most of it done except the very end where the plow buried me in. It's gravel there, so I can't use the snow thrower. My neighbor is out in his tractor plowing his driveway, so I'm hoping he pops over to clear the end of mine like he usually does.

About 7" of snow, 35mph winds and now wind driven sleet pelting my windows sounds like someone is cooking bacon. Other than that its ok.

Neighbor with the tractor came over and cleared the deep stuff at the end of the driveway. He would have cleared the whole driveway, but I had no way of knowing if he was going to be around today or not. Still, the end of the driveway is always to hardest part. Glad he cleared it.
