Deda, Are your rims getting damaged mostly from curb rash? or do you mean potholes as well. In NY, dodging potholes is a PIA. I just went with 245/275, so I want to be prepared for the heartache, lol. For curb rash, I think birdseye view really comes in handy. |

It’s looks decent but the rear tires are as stretched as I thought they would be. Stay away from curbs! I have found that a wider tire helps with pot holes. They float over more of them unless the pothole is huge and you hit it square.

IbHello all, I'm a long time lurker off and on. I just did this mod, m5 343m wheels on my 2014 650i coupe.
I noticed the front wheel is no more than 1mm away from the front caliper. I attached a pic. You can see only a hair of daylight. Are folks really running these that close without issue. I like to play with the speed and the turns every now and then but my front wheel being so close bothers me. I've read that 3mm is the recommended distance. Also I'm still on the fence about my rear poking out. They are 285/30/20. Hope this setup works out. If not I may have to sell this setup. @#*&^$#@!!!! Last edited by Sac1; 03-31-2018 at 01:26 PM.. |

To sum up the topic with the 343 M5 wheels on F13/F12/F06: 1. No rub at all 2. Looks great - perfect fit 3. You can use 245/35/20+ 275/30/20 - the factory wheels size for non-M 6 series. 4. You MUST buy tyres dedicated for BMW (with a star - approved by BMW). The reason for that is that the circumference for non-dedicatet tyres is different. If you use approved tyres the 245/35/30 has the same circumference as 275/30/20. If you use unapproved tyres there might be a 1-2cm difference. This may cause drivetrain problems. I had some problems with some jerking on the unappoved tyres which went away after buying new approved tyres |
