M5/M6 is not as fast as GTR in 0-60 or even quarter mile. But anything past that the GTR gets eaten alive. You can see the GTR slowing down after 100 mph+ because of it's small engine.

Omg. Why are some car journalists so dumb?? Shouldn't they be doing their homework before test driving and videoing ? There are two M buttons which you can program the launch control setting, and by the way, the reason why the launch control didn't work, it is because you didn't step on the gas paddle. What kinda car journalists are they if they don't do their homework about the car.

UGH! The GTR is faster off the line because of all wheel drive. Once you get going or from a rolling start, the M6 has way more torque and a flatter curve from its larger engine and 2 more cylinders. Also BMW under rates the power, it probably makes closer to 580hp at the crank which is 50-60 more than the newest GTR. Anyways who cares, the new M6 is a very fast car, heck I got wheel spin at 80-140 without even trying. The GTR is a performance bargain up there with the new SRT Viper, the M6 is a luxury GT.

Not too shabby for the 4 door M5 eh? There are vids of the M6 doing better - since it's lighter. Stock vs stock of course

I was'nt talking about 0-60, I was referring to DreamerM6 who beated 3 different GT-Rs from a rolling race with his F13 M6 and everyone seems to think that it's impossible. So GT-Rs incredible 0-60 time does'nt mean much in this situation!

You're wasting your time trying to beat a dead horse... all you will ever find is GTR fanboys quoting 0-60 times. It can be a 200-300kmph run, but again, 0-60 will be quoted as the defense to the GTR... just shake your head, and hope that some day they grow up... some day.
