Winter-like storm coming to SoCal tomorrow. Rain and snow (in the mountains) will be coming down. Expecting an inch or more of rain in the foothills where I live. High tomorrow is forecasted to be 56°F.

Here in Northern California we are getting snow in the Sierra today. Here are webcam shots from Heavenly Valley just now. It's almost May and snow is still falling.

We had snow on the ground from September until May our first winter in SLC. One year, my parents visited from SoCal one Memorial Day weekend and it snowed 8"! After that, we banned my parents until after MD. My wife's parents visited on Labour Day and it snowed. We had to ban them after August!

Tomorrow we're getting a "Colorado low" with temperatures 8-10C above seasonal and thunderstorms with a chance of hail/tornadoes. Overall temps could be up to 30C (86F).

I'm just happy it isn't snow at this point...

As I was posting that we had a Severe Thunderstorm Watch, it came ferociously.

The power flicked on/off a couple of time than off. The Generac kick in and we are almost back to normal (e-mail from Hydro, power might be back in the next 5 hours....

We had an F1 tornado touch down just south of us a couple days ago. Tons of videos circulating as (thankfully) effectively its entire path was on the lake. Made for some wild water spout video with one guy videoing as he's running from it in his boat. Little did I know, I was driving alongside it just to the east getting back to the house after meeting with some friends. I thought I just hit a rainstorm was all

Slight breeze, periodic cloud cover, and highs in the upper 60s yesterday and today. Not bad!
