Verstappen and Norris won't get their wishes: F1 is happy, no major changes for Miami GP:

Formula 1 is content with the current regulations and the racing they have produced. It was revealed that fans have rated the racing more positively compared to last year.

— A series of meetings are scheduled to review the opening races and discuss potential minor changes, such as qualifying and safety concerns. However, significant changes are not expected as F1 is satisfied with the current state.

— Lewis Hamilton expressed frustration over drivers' lack of influence in rule-making. Speaking to media, Hamilton remarked:

“The drivers don't have a say, they don't have any power. No power on the... we're not the committee, we have no voting rights. So...”

— Lando Norris shared a similar sentiment, noting that as long as fans enjoy the show, his opinion holds little weight.

— Max Verstappen criticized the current F1 cars, comparing the series to 'Mario Kart' and expressing that it has diminished his passion for the sport.

— Despite drivers not having a direct role in decision-making, their feedback will be considered in upcoming meetings.

Somehow I knew in the back of my mind it would crawl down this 'what clueless young fans want' path.

Blaming Netflix for the current state of F1 really is the laziest, most tired argument that takes the least effort.

I'm confident you can do better.

I doubt he would give up $40-50m a season just to do that, not to be taken that seriously and HM is 'sort of' still around nearby or a phone call away.

Kriek beer is surprisingly good, if somewhat difficult to source in the US.

That would be the ones who pay for / watch TV streaming subscriptions.

They sure do "go".
"Lambiase is the latest in a very long line of departures over recent years since the passing of Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz in 2022."
"Christian Horner was sacked last year, and Helmut Marko moved aside. Before that, design legend Adrian Newey had left, so too sporting director Jonathan Wheatley. Rob Marshall joined McLaren, where he is now chief designer, and Lambiase will reunite with Red Bull's former strategy chief Will Courtenay at McLaren too."
"Other exits have followed in recent months: chief designer Craig Skinner and Verstappen's chief mechanic Matt Caller left over the winter, and long-serving front-end mechanic Ole Schack will leave too."
"These are just a small number of people within an organisation that spans more than a thousand, and there will be others who have left that are not as high profile. But these are the people who set the direction, established the culture, made the key decisions, had a tonne of experience and were absolutely core to the team's rise and success."

LOL. Of course.

Every thread here is the same low-effort misery loop. F1 is terrible, the FIA is incompetent, the commentators are unbearable, the regulations are a disaster, every driver except Max sucks, and of course Toto Wolff is somehow despicable.

This place has devolved into a eurotrash circle-jerk of performative cynicism, where the only way to fit in is to be as predictably bitter as everyone else. At this point, it’s less an F1 forum and more a competition to see who can complain the loudest while saying the least.
