Could be that the 530e is not economical enough to clear some regulation thresholds for subsidies, so they decided to detune it further in order to make it appeal to corporate customers that have CO2 limits etc.

With the original i3 known to be continuing for a few more years and the G28 BEV known to be coming soon, the product names were on a collision course. I'm just not sure i330 is distinct enough from 330i given the big differences under the skin. I'll bet they now wish they'd called the i3 the "i2".

Getting to my point now in the UK reviews lots of people have referred to the M135i not being the direct replacement for the M140i outgoing F20z this was the B58.Thus...there is room in the lineup for a M140i we thought but no, perhaps it is the M145i. Will no doubt be a version of the B47 with hybrid help taking it nearer 400Hp. Still transverse mounting etc as the chassis defines this. Hope that all made sense.
