Facebook is a social tool...not a personal one.

You're not doing anything for yourself on facebook. Your display pic has a broad social impact on how people perceive you whether you like it or not.

To the average person on ur friends list...putting a BMW as your DP prob suggests your're shallow, new to money or flashy with it (honestly in these days of easy credit, and loans its too easy to buy a BMW)...

It won't come off as classy at all.

I'm sure one or two pics of your car in an album is ok...but DP no.

putting a picture of your car as your profile pic on facebook and myspace is almost as bad as getting a personalized license plate tag.....while you're at it get a personalized tag that spells "I_DBAG" to complete it....

My default is relatively generic, no good could come of having a personal shot up there as a default. My FB friends are the only ones I want to see my stuff. No car(s) for me as default either.

I dont think its immature, I think it's passion. For the longest time I had a picture of one of my horses and myself on my facebook. I wasnt rubbing it in that I have multiple thousand dollar animals that a lot of my friends cant afford nor was it a cry for attention.

I think it also depends on the car. Pretty much any "luxury" car IMO would come of as showoffy. Does it suck yes, is it right for people to think that no, but that's how it is. Which is why I simply have a picture of my massive sack on my profile.

this was mine when i got it

i also had a pic of the salesman handing the keys over to me. it was pretty awesome. i never cared about what it was perceived as, i pretty much hate everyone anyway lol jk. i like the water dripping shot because its cool looking and not as in your face as a whole car
