Thanks for suggestions. TuxMat does not offer 2018 X5. The vehicle changed in 2019. I had also checked Husky but I think they only do X3's.
I got 3D MAXpider Kagu. I think they are good and they look nice. For the cargo area, I got a rubbery one off of eBay that has a surface texture like 3D MAXPider and it was only about $33. It is pretty good and should hold up. |

I get it, WeatherTech pricing hurts a bit, especially for an X5. They’re good, but they’re not the only solid option out there. If you want something that won’t fall apart or curl up after one winter, I’d look at TuxMat or 3D Maxpider first. Both are known for really good fit and coverage, and they feel more premium than the typical hard plastic style mats. TuxMat in particular has more side coverage, which is great if you deal with snow and salt.
Smartliner is another decent option if you want something closer to the WeatherTech style but cheaper. They’re more of that molded rubber/TPE design with deep channels. Not as refined, but they usually hold up fine. I’d personally avoid the super cheap no-name Amazon brands. That’s where you run into thin material, bad fitment, and edges that don’t sit flat. With an X5, fit matters because the floor contours are specific. If you’re in heavy winter climate, I’d lean toward something with higher side walls. If it’s more for basic dirt protection, even the OEM BMW all-weather mats are sometimes priced competitively if you catch them on sale and they fit perfectly. You don’t have to pay WeatherTech money, but I wouldn’t go bargain basement either. Mid-tier brands seem to be the sweet spot. |

I ordered Weathertech mats for my x5, but promptly sent them back as they just don't really scream "premium". Functional yes, but premium, no...
So I sent them back within 1 days and got a set of Tuxmats and couldn't be happier. HIGHLY recommend Tuxmats |

OEMs are nice but can be pricey. Lasfit is also a great option like some others have mentioned. I have a trunk mat by them in my X5 and the design matches the other OEM mats I have throughout the rest of the car.

Scotty - Weathertech
I owned a pair for my last car and while they faded and were slippery, they kept my car floor in perfect condition for may years. When I called Weather tech and told them I was not satisfied with the fact the mats faded, they sent me a new paid FOR FREE. Gotta say something positive about customer service when it happens!
