Where did you find the idrive controller with the trim to fit? I am looking for one because the used ones sold do not have the plastic strip trim around...

you need to swap the trim pieces between the touch controllers for it to fill the void. its not very easy and it takes some time to get them swapped over the new touch controller has the trim under the silver dial and has 8 click holding it in place. the larger trim just stays clipped to the armrest. i will try and submit pictures to make it more clear

here are the pictures for the previous post about the different idrive controller trims, and how it will look after you swap them. In the first picture the left trim is the old touch controller trim you need. the right side is the new controller trim that you need to remove from the the new controller. it is a little challenging to do but possible. if you don't care about the new trim piece, break it out and toss it and just reuse your original trim.

Hi Nelson,
may I ask if in my 11/2011 CIC equipped 640d there is a way forward for a set-up with F15 touch screen, NBT EVO id6 and functional HUD with traffic and speed limits support? Thanks! |

Hey,
question about the weather and maps, i know you lose your connected drive features like remote unlock/lock but do you still have access to the weather on id6 and also how do you update the maps? I usually buy maps online on ebay and just load them in but the maps wont correct with the vin anymore right? so how do you get the fsc code to update? |

I am chasing if someone can give me a good answer, I have a M6 F06 with NBT-NBT Evo and it has the older screen. I want to just replace the screen with the newer looking one for a cleaner look. I don't mind the current system I have, can I just replace the screen? For example can I buy this and plug and play?
