For me its not a problem. The odds are almost zero you will have to use the firearm as a weapon and double zero that you would need to change out a mag . Its hard to even "imagine" that scenario.

With some practice you can change out pretty quick though.;
Thanks for the info, I actually heard about that.

I heard the Taran +2, +3 mags add some needed weight and they drop easy.

Have my doubts. Mine does not drop with 5 in the mag.

I heard, I'm not going to 'un-modify' my mags just yet.

On my S&W 15-22 magazines, I used a screwdriver and hammer to bend the limiting pin until it came off.

My Hexmag magazines, I bought a full size 30 round spring to replace the short spring and removed the spacer/block that limits it to 10 rounds.

My Lancer mags, I drilled out the rivets.

If your only problem is short springs, order replacement springs for 30 round magazines. I got mine on Brownells.

Ok cool, I have hexmags and have pulled them apart, didn't know if they sold the spring separately.

Edit: Just saw the part at the bottom about getting them at Brownells, thanks!!

I was fortunate enough to get one with different barrels (short, normal,and suppressed). It is pretty remarkable how simple the interlocking of the stock and barrels are. Twist of a screw and push of a button you can remove the parts.

Other interesting thing but is that after you install the mgazing you have to wind up a gear winder that spin the magazine as fast as it can go. Only thing stops it from rotaing is the 22LR bullets pressing against the chamber. Can't wait to get it out to the range.

(no idea why the app attaches the photo sideways)

Are you using a Mac. I have found that if I open the photo up and rotate it once completely and then save it oriented the way I want before I upload it seems to solve that problem.

In the past I've posted pic that were right side up on my computer but loaded sideways. I deleted the post then rotated the photo 360degrees on my computer and reloaded and it worked fine. Maybe the app has a bug but that fix works for me.

I'm a JP fan so if I ever buy a bolt action it will probably be their chassis.

I'll admit I'm a bit biased as it was entirely my project, but the chassis is one of the best on the market. I'm a bit salty about the price point they decided to go with as it's a bit higher than intended, but it's still a great system. The hinge on that thing locks up like vault and can be open an closed thousands of times without having any looseness.
