Who has a cat?

A German Shepherd, a Doberman, and a Cat died.
All three of them stood before God who wanted to know what they believed in.
The German Shepherd said, "I believe in discipline, training and loyalty to my master."
"Good," said God, "You may sit down on my right side."
"Doberman, what do you believe in?" Asked God.
"I believe in love, care and protecting my master."
"Awe," Said God, "You may sit on my left side."
Then, he looked at the cat, and asked, "What do you believe in?"
The cat replied, "I believe you're sitting in my seat."

My little boy, Frankie, at a little under 4 months old. He was rescued off the mean streets of DC in freezing rain by a friend at ~4 weeks old, and I brought him home at 8 weeks after they nursed him to health. He's just over 2 year old now and doing great.

Well I don't have cats - they have me as their feeder and litter box cleaner.

Bella - 11 years old 14 lb raggamuffin. A real sweetheart.



Cookie - a 5 year old tortie Scottish Fold with a weird personality. Will run from me one second and the next sit in my lap and drool.



Next we got two more Scottish folds. Pumpkin a multicolored long hair female who is sweet. And Simba a short hair male who is sweet but sometimes a maniac.



Last (and I truly hope last cause I'm 71 and don't want to leave any pets behind) is Peanut one of the sweetest male scottish folds we've ever had.

Don't know what happened. Is there a limit to photos per post? I shall try again. Note he is only alive right now after attacking my feet at 4AM because I really like him. But he does push it.

Thanks. The wife finds breeders online. These last 3 were from a breeder who stopped last year. Guess she figured out she really doesn't make that much and it is a lot of work. Pity all 3 of these cats are sweet and sociable.

My cat’s skin has been very dry this winter, especially around her neck, so I started giving her a fish oil supplement, made for cats; Nordic Naturals Omega 3 Fish Oil for cats.

“Supports your cat’s skin and coat, joint function, eyes, brain, cardiovascular health, and immune system function.”

Wasn’t sure she’d take it, as she’s bad about taking any kind of medicine but she took it right away mixed with her food. She's an old girl (13yo) and I hope that it helps her. Will report back here in a few weeks to let you guys know how it’s going.

We just started using one of these too (Zesty Paws Alaskan Salmon). Too soon to tell results, but our new girls had pretty rough grooming from being neglected then in shelter. A shampoo and some zoom-groom and they are fluffing up.

Unfortunately it seems Cracker Barrel may not be with us any longer. Before we left NC I had not seen him in several days which is odd for him. Anyways neighbor also said she had not seen him either and was asking if I had seen him. She messaged a day or two later saying her husband saw a dead cat on the street and that it looked like Cracker Barrel .

Unfortunately he's not the first cat I've seen come around who ended up getting hit by a car. It's interesting that I almost never see Giuseppe the black cat anywhere near the street. I have a feeling Cracker Barrel was probably someones cat who got out and he just didn't have the street smarts.

Sucks he was the only nice cat we've come across since we've been at that house.

When we were kids my older sister had left for school one morning before my younger sister and I and she came back crying. She found our cat dead in the street. He had been ran over by a car. He was hit so badly she could hardly recognize him. She knew it was him because she had put a rhinestone collar on him, and that was the one thing she recognized on his poor mangled body. Was very sad. It's one thing to lose your pet, but it's horrible to find him dead and smashed up like that. A sight that's hard, if not impossible to forget. I will never forget it.

When I lived in Japan as a kid, my "outside" cat (Dad wasn't keen on an indoor kitty, so he lived on the porch) vanished.

I was only about eight years old, but I remember driving home one night with my Dad and Mom. I was playing around in the back seat, and my Dad pulled over for some reason. Dad got out of the car for a minute, and then came back and looked at my mom and said "yeah."

I didn't realize (or understand) what he'd seen or what he meant.

Or, that he'd gone back later (after I was asleep) and "took care of things."

They sat me down a few days later and explained to me that Kitty Witty had been hit by a car and wasn't coming back.

I was *heartbroken*.

I still think of Kitty Witty to this day.

Here's hoping it wasn't CB they saw and he is just enjoying somebody's hospitaliity. Our ferals routinely disappear and then many resurface a few months later, showing signs of having had some indoor time.
