I think they are going to go with a hardtop for this car. The canvas top is just camo to hide the hardtop underneath. BMW did the same thing with the new Z4 by putting fake canvas on top of the hard top. Look at the picture above and look at the glass rear window, it doesnt flow into the canvas at all, it looks more like its a glass window underneath the canvas. And look at the body like highlighted in red, that is the typical trunk opening for a hardtop convertable car similar to what the E93 has. |

1. it means I HAVE to get the roadster with crappier lines and regidity then coupe 2. its heavier cuz of the roof and all the strengthening on the shell they might have to do. But anyway this is not a car I'd buy so power to the people. oh btw, ENOUGH WITH THE CSL Concept on every damn car!!!

looks very good...I wish they make at least three versions of the car , a coupe , cabrio , a 4door coupe and maybe a luxury 6series....

Hate to burst your bubble but, I've got evidence to prove your hardtop theory wrong. You were close, but you didn't look closely enough.
The red lines trace the gaps in the trunk. The gaps are in the same place as the current 6er. Look between the red lines. The green line indicates the perfect seal between the roof and windows. The gap is still visible here also. Edit: ALTHOUGH...I have heard the hardtop is possible, I don't think this mule carries one. |

I'll bet the roof on this test mule isn't the one that'll be released in the wild. The way the rear window meets the deck lid seems a bit "slapped together" to me. I'm betting they'll go with a retractable hardtop.
