g32 motor replacement....

I'm thinking of replacing a blown motor in my 19 g32. Any advice??

Like im planning on letting a shop do it, but just wanted some advice from my fellow BMW owners...(ALL ADVICE will be appreciated)

Can you provide more details on the motors? How many miles? Was it tuned, driven hard etc before the motor was blown?

The G32 thread doesn't see a lot of activity but the motor is shared across multiple platforms. Perhaps you might have better luck posting on the other platforms. Also Bimmerfest has a slightly more active G32 base so perhaps asking the question there would help.

The original motor had 41K miles on it. It was not tuned, I brought the car used, so I'm unsure whether or not it was driven hard or not.

I get that this platform doesn't get as many views, I will get on Bimmerfest and see how the post does. thanks for the advice.

That's very odd, perhaps it was abuse and neglect from prior owners. There is also a Facebook group for G32 owners. Definitely more responsive than both forums.
