Wheels
I dropped off my front wheels to be stripped, straightened, and re-chromed yesterday and was loaned these god awful 19 inch atrocities. I should be thankful I was able to get the car home, but I won’t be driving it with them. It’ll be three weeks before I get my wheels back. I guess I’ll have to take her out once a week or so for the battery. Sigh.

I've been going to them for about five years now. It's a small shop in North Hollywood called Mr. Chrome. They've been very good to me! When I called around to get my BMW wheels chromed, they had a spare set of Style 373s just sitting around. That's not the case now.
I'll just drive my 2001 CLK430, a fine example with only 41k miles that usually decorates the garage. Got her aligned and balanced yesterday. I forgot how fun that car is to drive! Here she is in 'surgery.' |

They don't match obviously, but not so sure what's so awful about them. But I'm not much on to wheels as such |

I am over a bit of the shock, but still am loathe to drive her like that. I will say that it turns in easier and more quickly with the 19s as opposed to the 20s.
