2025 Aston Martin VANTAGE: 665hp! [Finally New Tech]
One of the knocks on Aston has been it's archaic interface and infotainment system. One thing it has never lacked: Sex appeal and curbside appeal. Now it is going squarely up against the mighty 911 TT, according to the manufacture. While it may not be just as quick, it is certainly a worthy option, better looking IMO and even less expensive.

Nice console layout. Whose infotainment screen are they using? Looks like a VAG-sourced item? Or is it MBUX?

Honestly, I quit caring about Astons when they stopped having their own motors. I would buy a Mercedes if I wanted a Mercedes.
It would be one thing if it was like, a derivative, where it has a different displacement and head sand revs higher, maybe it's single vs twin turbo or something... But when it's literally just the Mercedes 4.0t plucked out of a Mercedes box and then dropped in... No thanks. I'll buy a 911 instead. |

"The new Vantage's engine shares its layout, capacity, and Mercedes-AMG bloodline with its predecessor: a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8. But as with the DB12, it has been given numerous internal upgrades to boost performance, with new turbos and a heavily revised top end, as well as much better cooling"

650hp in a front engine rear drive car. that should go well...
probably wont compete with a 911 turbo on dynamics. But sounds like an absolute autobahn rocket. the front end is an improvement as well. current vantage prices should fall to the $70k range for a low miles 2019 example once this is out.

These will be sweet when they’re $75k in 4 years. The new infotainment setup looks great. Much improved overall.

It still annoys me to this day, the tacky, afterthought looks of these "tablets sticking out of the Dash". |

Gasoline cars are simply too complex for independent boutique marques to offer a proper, well rounded product.
Lotus, AM make great products, but the ownership experience is miserable these days. All that tech never works. They are only good to drive in a 50 mile radius around your town that has a dealer/service center. They are just not reliable to take anywhere. Gorgeous cars though. Not sure why everyone else has such a hard time producing designs even half as beautiful.

Gorgeous car, but the super wide rear fenders have me flinching while thinking of the rocks they catch!
Reminds me of a 177. |

thats true. but front-mid is still not as good as MR or RR for many reasons. which is why GM dumped that platform for a mid engine c8.

It looks significantly better than the last gen. That front clip makes all of the difference. The front clip on the last gen looked very much like an MX-5 (Miata).

We drove up to Monterey car week a few months ago and his BRG Vantage got a ton of attention. More than you'd expect given the price he got it for.
