I'm hoping to get my first in about a year after I've saved up a bit (and just joined on here to learn more.) I'm planning/hoping to get a m850i coupe off a lease once its price is a little more reasonable for me. I think they're the most beautiful cars made in years hands down. A true GT like used to be made in the 60s and 70s.

My first BMW is '91 735i. Lots of great memories in this car.
Unfortunately it has turned into a project car and just don't have time, money or skill for it anymore. Its just sitting there. It's time it find a new home. |

My first BMW is the one I currently drive, A 2009 BMW 328. Nothing special but I love it. Ever since my parents brought a 2003 BMW 330xi (in 02), I knew what I wanted my first car to be, a BMW. After saving for a year or two (working at a fast food place and then selling cars), I brought mines from the original owner for $8250 cash (67k miles 71k after a year).

Mine was a 1981 BMW 528i manual trans. Purchased new back in 1981
Served me very well. No issues except for my stereo being stolen a couple of times. Back then there was a tuner shop called Hardy and Beck (if I remember correctly) in Berkeley, CA. My car had some performance upgrades from them Had a few vehicles after that but did not get back to a BMW until Dec last year In short, I’ve gone full circle...Circle of Life Heh heh |

First BMW..
Nothing too original, bought a 2015 328i F30 last year, w/18k. It's been a great car and fun to drive, it's stock. I have driven Audi's before, and my dad always drove one growing up, various models. A BMW is just special to own and drive. No regrets!

Just went from this 2014 370Z:
To my first BMW, this 2020 X3 M comp: Crazy how you can upgrade into an SUV and it's not only faster than your old "sports car", but it handles much better even though it's got 3x the ground clearance and cargo capacity. I used to laugh at the thought of performance SUVs, but I couldn't be happier being able to go down to 1 car and get the best of both worlds. Ahh technology. First is an E46 M3, which I don't plan on getting rid of any time soon. Next one will be an F20 LCI M135i/M140i to replace my daily (VW R36).

My passion for bmw started from my father. He had a 735i 1991, metalic blue. He used it for about 10 years and then gifted it to me when I was old enough to drive. Dad even taught me the basics of how to take care of it before driving, giving me a printed instruction manual on how to care for "his baby". His list included washing at least once a week, a general "lights work, gear work" type of maintenance once a month, making sure to almost never park it under the sun, and if I do to cover it with a portable car cover that should always be stored in the boot, to clean the intertior of the car once a week as well. And the guy checked too, to make sure I was following his manual.
Unfortunately, the car fully broke down, engine, wires, and all and was just too much to fix, so sold it for a m3 2008. Dad was upset about it more than I was. |

My first love of BMW came in 2009 when I test rode a couple versions of BMW's bikes in Portland, Oregon. I've been riding since 1976 and this was the first time I gave them a try. I was hooked!
I bought 2. The first for serious-hard runs up the coast and through the Coastal mountain range, the second for my 25 minute commute to and from work. 2011 I purchased the 335xi for Wifey, then just recently we upgraded to the 2017 X3. Bikes and cars alike, I have yet to be disappointed. The only frustration is working on them myself I discovered early on that NOTHING is user-friendly for the home shop |

320i 2.2 M Sport E46. Beautiful 6 pot, albeit a bit gutless low down. Regret selling that one, think I got £1500 for it! Refined, great looking and everything oozing quality. Only bought bimmers since.
