New Member-18 M6 Gran Coupe!
Hi folks,
New member here! Glad to meet everyone, figured I’d post an intro to my new-to-me (nearly new) 2018 M6 Gran Coupe. Below are the specs: Color: Alpine White Interior: Aragon Brown Leather Mileage: 1,975 when bought Packages: Competition, Executive, Parking Assist, Driving Assist, (everything aside from Night Vision I was told) B&Q Sound System 343’s wheels on standard Michelins M-Competition Exhaust M-Exhaust tips, Carbon diffuser, Kidney black grills Flew down to middle of nowhere Georgia to snag a great deal on her considering she spec’d out to $150k when new and instantly fell in love when after I put it in M-mode on the test drive! Was slightly irritated as I was told it was a 1 owner car, but then at time of registration, I found out I was the third owner since the 2nd owner only had it for one week prior to returning for an X7 but his loss! First BMW for my ownership history coming mostly from Japanese cars (last one was a G37x) and this thing is on another planet! Below are a few light mods I’m focused on/have already done: PPF-entire Front end [Done] Ceramic Coated Exterior, wheels and interior [Done] 20% Tint all around [Done but disappointing] RW Carbon trunk spoiler (Vorsteiner rep) Wheel Spacers, undecided on 10mm square or 10-15 setup No engine mods as of yet and likely not until warranty is done. still getting used to the car and she is already a handful, easily can go sideways if too rough on the pedal. If anyone is in the NE area around CT or MA, would love to meet up, if we ever get taken out of lockdown. Looking forward to the convo and informative posts, cheers! |

beautiful car! there is a good car scene in the NE area and would love to see the car in person. If i were to recommend the next mod i would have the rocker covers done in PPF too. i had mine repainted and PPF'd after i saw how abused they get!there are also many other cosmetic additions you can make to the car that will make is stand out! I will PM you once the quarantine Panic dies down!

Congrats on the M6 GC she's really a beauty and at those miles, basically brand new. Would you mind saying what you paid? One of my favorite color combos of all time.

I will say that NADA priced out the car at over $90k but apparently the internet sales manager was just going off of the CPO website and didn't take into account all the accessories/packages. Then they lowered the price even more since I was coming in from out of state. All the folks there said they messed up bad, but idk what to believe from these BMW sales guys. I know it will still continue to depreciate, but it was worth it to me to spend a bit extra and get a good spec/low mileage. |

Thanks! Looking to stay on OEM for now. In regards to spacers, any issues with higher speed vibrations? Only reason for me to hesitate on ordering thus far. May try to go a bit wider in the rear. |

Man, that interior is money! Nice snag. As far as spacers on stock wheels, I'd go 12mm in the rear. I played around with 10-15 and 12mm was the overall best IMO. I am also lowered though, so that may play a part in your decision making if you plan to remain on stock suspension. Did not add spacers in the front, but no vibration from the rear spacers - and I've been up to 170 ish on that set up...Enjoy!

Thanks bud! Sticking to stock suspension for now, these city roads are like driving on mini land mine ruts! I think I'll go 10f-12r setup and hope that the front's don't vibrate at speed. |

No vibration issues, I have a 0.8” drop all around on when the 10mm spacers were on...likely a few pics on here when I posted I bought it.

What brand spacers is everyone buying? So 10 in the front and 12 in the back with no lowering? Just reading this now I have to!
Also, interior is stunning. Congrats |
