Front Lip Options
Alright guys so I decided on getting a front lip for my M6 GC and I ended up with the V style front lip but after installing it I immediately started scraping it everywhere, I take bumps and driveways at an angle but sometimes it still scrapes, in one week I've pretty much destroyed it, and that's at stock hight and I daily drive my car in Los Angels, the roads are shit here fyi. I still have my H&R springs to put on and god knows what'll happen then. My question is does anyone know of a lip that doesn't scrape as much? The overhang is so far on the car that I want something closer in that still looks nice, I have the CF side skirts and diffuser that match so something similar, and if anyone has any comments on how I should drive better know that I also have a slammed Miata that is about 1in off the ground and I don't scrape it as much as this car. And if anyone wants to vent about there scraping problems feel free to vent on this post lol. thanks.

You'll need to use one of these products or DIY something similar.

That slipo kit looks pretty decent, I saw it on instagram but I thought it was one of the regular annoying scam commercials, its worth a shot, but that price tag tho for what it is, Im gonna try and fix the front lip and put those on but if it doesn't work out ill just get that small front lip from that mikerx5

I also live in los angeles , It is difficult not to trash your lip . i am on my third lip. But on this third i made a custom wind splitter out of aluminum and painted it gloss black . so now the splitter takes most of the damage.APR makes them in carbon fiber if you want to match .

The long sloping front on these cars sure doesn’t help either. I’m on my second V-Style lip and I’m glad it’s not the authentic V lip as this would be costing a fortune to replace each time. Better off with the replicas in a case like this for sure.

That car looks stock height to me, but you can see more pics on their website (also look at the skirts, they have other angles of the same car): https://maxtondesign.eu/product-eng-...RAN-COUPE.html https://maxtondesign.eu/product-eng-...RAN-COUPE.html Again, ECS can hook you up on all pieces. I'll post pics of my car when I get 'em. - Leo. |

Sorry you had a bad experience. I just PM'd "ECS Tuning" here from the site sponsor and spoke with James. He hooked me up with pricing, shipping quote and a custom cart to make the purchase. Good luck! - Leo. PS: I opted for the front lip and side skirts, but passed on the little rear strips (add-ons) as I'm envisioning a full diffuser upgrade.
