Question ► Trunk Opening Question

when you open the trunk with the key fob, does it open all the way?

my trunk opens slightly and i have to raise manually to open fully. my warranty is expiring next month so if it is indeed defective want to fix.

just want to make sure i am not crazy .

on a side note, we do not have the "kick" to open feature for trunk correct?

mine opens all the way but sometimes it doesn't, very strange... I was shocked coming from my f10 M5 to the M6 that there was no power trunk, I had the M5 coded to close with the remote. still can't believe i have to manually open and close the trunk

Once I put a spoiler on it stopped going up all the way but I heard you can replace the shocks at the dealer for free and it will work again. If it's hot it opens sometimes but in the cold it just pops open slightly

Ditto about the ambient temperature. If it's hot...then the gas trunk shocks usually open all the way (or really high)...but if it is cooler...the trunk only opens up slightly then needs to be lifted manually to full open position.

Mine opens all the way. When it suddenly didn't and I brought it in to check it out, they identified it as a defect and fixed it on warranty.

My F80 has a pretty simple adjustment to make it pop more or less... when I get my M6 back next week ill take a look bc mine is a little weak too, and it'd be nice to have it pop. Also no kick-to-open??!

Mine didn't ever open as well. I have a lip spoiler too. I took it in and they said the spring was bad and replaced it under warranty. Now it opens so strong I have to really push it down to close.

Are you in the UK?

Is it definitely covered under warranty?

M6 doesn't have a power lock button?
I swear that's the most convenient feature on my CLS.
