Thanks for the feedback everyone, very much appreciated!
In regards to the questions regarding the Carbon Fiber Edition upgrade, it is actual Carbon Fiber weave hand laid over the 6061-T6 forged aluminum spokes. It is not the sticker or hydrodip look and you can see the different effects that the CF weave has in different lighting and angles. The end result looks just like a CF splitter, diffuser or even the BMW Performance parts. There is a 1x1 and 2x2 weave option available along with a Gloss, Satin or Matte clear coat finish. This F12 M6 has the 2x2 weave option with Gloss Clear. As for the tri-color front grill, it is an IND part and the client really wanted to showoff the ///M heritage on the grill. I’m sure those of you that do not like it can go with the all Gloss Black version without a problem. It’s great to have options! Feel free to PM or email me at Robert@StrasseWheels.com with any additional questions that you may have!

I'm curious how that CF would hold up under intense brake heat and the wheels heating up. If it's laid over the forged wheel as mentioned above and, I would think over time those CF pieces would wear out and deform somewhat. Then there's the question of the coating of those CF pieces, how was it pre-pregged etc.
If it's wheel purely for garage queen cars that don't see serious high speed use, fine, but otherwise, there are a lot of open questions. |
