What would you trade your M6 for?
Are there any cars you would trade your M6 for? Like
Porsche Turbo S, McLaren MP4, S63 Coupe, Audi R8 V10 Plus, Gallardo, etc. etc. Just curious PS: Doing another Dyno run at Dyno Jet tomorrow, race gas is ready, posting results tomorrow!

I've had an R8 and thought it was just as comfortable and the interior just as good as an M6. It handled and looked amazing, but mine was the V8 with that jerky R-tronic. Most likely my next car will the new 2016 R8, V10 version. Basically a more drivable version of Lambo Huracan, so it will be great no doubt. Of course the new Mclaren 650S is godly and not outrageously priced, but I don't think you can daily drive it.

all the cars you mentioned are much more expensive than M6 and are not a DD car (except the S63). I am really happy with M6 and I will try to keep my car as much as I can. If I had enough money, I would get either Ferrari 458 or Lamborghini Aventador just for weekends and keep my M6, but I don't have that money

Can't drive low cars here in Canada, plus I'm very used to HUD and top view...
Ferrari 458 and v10 Audi R8 lost to M6 in a drag race, McLaren mp4 is a bit too low. I'm digging Porsche 911 turbo s, As fast as an MP-4, but a better DD car. |

Porsche 911 turbo s is not a DD car in Canada if you are just looking for drag race, you better go for GTR |

In my M6 GC's price range nothing. That's why I bought it
Moving to the 200k range perhaps the 991 Turbo S or the Mercedes S63 coupe

Had a R8.... not a fan, defiantly a "look at me car" but can't get out of it's own way. Technology in the car (I am talking Nav and such) is just horrible... so I would get rid of my 2014 M6 for a 2015 M6... lol

The M6 is first video is a 700+ HP M6 while my comments were about Stock M6 and the result is refering to 1 Mile not 1/4 mile The third Video does not prove 1/4 mile too. look at the speed when M6 catch lambo. it's 210 km/h. M6 cannot reaches this speed at 1/4 mile it means still is behind in 1/4. I always show the second and forth videos to my friend who are driving R8 and GTR but to be honest with you I cannot believe thses videos. I know at rolling M6 may beat GTR but not that easy you can see in video#4. the second video is completly fake IMO; however it is just possible in certain condition like rainy whether that RB cannot take advantage of AWD like this video that M6 beats GTR easily when road is wet. BTW I rely on Motor Trend rather than private videos on youtube |

I know M6 can beat most of those cars in 1 mile race or rolling from 50-60 because of torque and power but since it's RWD the 0-60 or 1/4 mile which were the OP concern is totaly different. you know better than me that for long term race like 1 mile the winner is most powerfull one and we all know that M6 is underrated by BMW. it has 600+ HP refering to different dyno results on youtube; so fure sure can beat most of the cars. |

They're in a different price range but I'd swap my M6 for a 991TT in a second

Funny how this thread has suddenly turned into one about 1/4 mile times, and drag races.

-Best heads up display (maybe it's just me, but I can't drive without it) -Top view cameras (makes it so easy to reverse park in tight spots) -Tuning friendly (unlike Mercedes BMW won't just void the warranty for BMS etc.) -100% free service (with Mercedes you have to pay for Service A, B, C etc.) -Nice car overall, beats a lot of supercars in a straight line There are faster cars than M6 coupe, but definitely not as good at daily drive (most just too low, not as technologically advanced, very expensive to service). Trying to think about the next car after M6, but the only car that I can think of is S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe, looking forward to test drive it.

Just saw that video, the M6 finished with a 12.1s 1/4 mile. It really can do a lot better than that. E63 M6 was good for 12.4s. I've seen stock F13 M6s run 11.8s. It's a tricky car to get off the line perfectly for sure as it lights the tires quite easily and the first gear is very short, but 12.1 is isn't even close to its true potential. Regardless, this car's true worth is measured beyond things like straight line speed. If it's stoplight to stoplight speed one's after then just buy the latest and greatest GTR. I forget which one it is, seems they have a special edition on a special edition nowadays. Track Edition??? Black Edition??? Anyhow, it'll probably be one of the fastest cars you can find off the line and it's one of the most tune friendly. To me buying into sprint speed is a pointless endeavor in a world where just about any 400+hp car will take you from a green light to the next red light before you can even blink.
