Made a few changes to better organize the blog. New tabs for photos and videos as well as a "New Posts" tab. I added some new pics today in addition to the two ConnectedDrive videos. Check it out and give me some feedback.

A fixed screen is a design feature that has to look good, since it can't be hidden. This one does......
And why would anybody hide it? You want the information while driving anyway, so it doesn't make sense to hide the display only when nobody is in the car

Today I used the Gliptone maintenance leather cleaner, and it worked perfectly. I only used it on the driver's seat, steering wheel, and door arm rest. It was really quick and easy - sprayed some on a microfiber cloth and wiped everything down with very little pressure. My seats, etc. were all clean, and I didn't notice much of any dirt on the cloth when I finished. I just felt like I should do something to the leather in those areas that get the most use/abuse. I mainly focused on the seat base, bolsters, and steering wheel. I'm very pleased with using this product in between cleaning/conditioning with the other products that require more time and effort.
*for additional info on the more thorough cleaning and conditioning products and process, check out my blog (link in my signature), specifically "Caring for the Cattle."

More M Sport Exhaust
I think these sound clips are a little better than the last video. Sorry some of the shots are blurry. I didn't think about focusing the iPhone as it was mounted behind my head.

I read your post on cleaning leather with great interest, fantastic advise. Much appreciated ! I'm interested to hear if it's made a difference to how your steering wheel feels now its been cleaned? I have always been cautious with applying any cleaning products to the steering wheel.

I honestly didn't feel too much of a difference - maybe slightly softer - as my leather wasn't really dirty since it was only a couple months old at the time. The products I uses maintained the exact finish the leather had when I bought it, which was my main goal aside from protection. My steering wheel still looks as good as the day I took delivery.

thank you, i will give it a try this weekend. I'm already familiar with the Gliptone products as i have been using them myself for the last couple of years. Your blog is fantastic, i would hate to think how long its taken to compile. But when you're so passionate about a brand like BMW, and such an amazing car like the 6 series i suppose time is not really a factor as you want to share your enthusiasm and knowledge with others and this forum is the perfect place.

I just added some pictures that I have taken over the last couple of weeks... most of which were taken while walking away from the car. I probably look like the world's biggest c0ck, but I really don't care. It's worth it for the great screen savers

Southern6er22, you seem to be very knowledgable in the ways of the 6 Series. Can you please tell me how to access the headlight compartment so that I can change my angel eyes from the yellow factory to after market h.i.d?

I wish I could be more helpful, but that's going beyond my knowledge base. I haven't done any DIY on my car, so I'm pretty unfamiliar with the mechanical/electrical stuff. Hopefully one of the many modders around here will chime in to help you out. Sorry.
